Tarot and the four elements are closely associated in the Minor Arcana. Understanding the elements and their functions in this world add dimension to the meaning of the Minor Arcana cards. In this part on exploring tarot I want to delve into the actual story of the major arcana. I think it’s important to point out that the major arcana, are taken from the male point of view. In fact it is a these cards tell the story of a mans life. This is an important distinction because it definitely puts a certain bias to the story in general.
The Tarot what ever the origins seem to have come into common awareness in the 15th and 16th centuries in Europe. However, my purpose in writing this article is to look to how the Tarot is used now by Pagan culture and how it can be used as a tool to both understand ourselves and others. On the market today you will find many types of card decks that are meant for use in divination.
