Pagan Mother of One Gets Non-sage Council

Jemma Hawkins, 29, of the UK has been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. As part of the UK health system she has been receiving regular, sometimes daily visits from mental health care visitors to help her with her condition.

However, on one of the visits the health care visitor told her that she should remove her pagan religious items from plain view and put them away in the bedroom so as not to affect Jemma’s 10 year old son.

Freya a Patroness to Consider

She is called the Lady, the Great Goddess, the Beautiful One, but she is much more than all of these. She is Freya, the beautiful Goddess of the Norse who is the leader of the Valkyries and the Sage who inspires everyone in their creative endeavors. Freya is the sister of Frey, The God of Fertility and is sometimes confused with Odin’s (The Chief God of the Asgard) wife Frigga. Her own husband Od who disappeared is thought to be identical to Odin.
